We
all have heard of and some have been to a wild and crazy,
alcohol-fueled bachelor or bachelorette party. One last night with
the guys or the girls before tying the knot. The final wild party
before the married life begins. How fun could this rite of passage be
if it were extended to three-day sailing tour and held on a
cruise ship where no one had to drive?
No
cooking, no cleaning, and no driving. Just the soon-to-be bride or
groom and their best friends getting crazy on a cruise. Not the
traditional six-hour bachelor bar hopping event.
As
your group boards, your ship and you camp out a good spot on deck to
begin the festivities of a sail away party during the sailing
tour. After dinner, your group can hit the casino or a number of
bars and lounges before getting your groove on at the dance club. The
fun can last until the early hours of the morning before hitting the
sack and try to re-energize.
Today
is a ship day so a good time to get off the ship for a couple hours
for land tours or bar hopping or whatever suits the interests of your
group. At least one person needs to keep track of the time. The ship
will not wait for those who return to the pier late for the sailing.
Leave plenty of time to get back on the ship. It is significantly
better being the one on the deck watching the pier runners than to be
the one on the pier running to make the ship before it sails.
Another
good dinner and cocktails before the dance club and another late
night. You are on vacation and this vacation celebrates the passing
of your single days, have fun. Maybe you get lucky tonight in the
casino or at least have some fun playing cards or craps with the
party group.
A
bachelor or bachelorette parties in San Francisco on a cruise
sounds like one heck of a fun memory to be made. The pricing can be
very reasonable especially bunking three or four to a cabin. Have a
great cruise and congratulations on your upcoming marriage.
